PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal training is an opportunity to work one-on-one with a qualified fitness specialist. GJF’s personal trainer, Shawna, has the background, knowledge, and experience essential in designing a program that will work for you.  The GJF missions is to provide you with the skills, strength, and knowledge to set and obtain your goals. I am committed to helping you reach your fitness goals in motivational, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental atmosphere.

GJF’s personal trainer, Shawna, has the background, knowledge, and experience essential in designing a program that will work for you.  The GJF missions is to provide you with the skills, strength, and knowledge to set and obtain your goals. I am committed to helping you reach your fitness goals in motivational, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental atmosphere.
My main responsibility as your personal fitness trainer is to assess, instruct, and coach both individuals and small groups in various activities. After conducting an initial fitness assessment I will establish a profile for each client so they have a “benchmark” to build from; allowing me to monitor progress so I know:
  • Where the client is coming from
  • How they got to where they are today
  • And serves as a basis for me to reasonably project where they will be going in the near future
By continually evaluating my client’s past and present physical fitness levels I help them to set and achieve realistic goals.
Some other activities I’m involved with as your personal fitness trainer also include (but are not limited to):
  • Motivating clients
  • Assisting clients in various breathing & stretching techniques
  • Identify specific training wants & needs
  • Actively observe client’s exercise movements to minimize any risk or injury
  • Develop instructional fitness programs based on client’s individual needs
  • Monitor and communicate client progress
  • Demonstrate the bio-mechanics of prescribed exercises & any other physical activities
I will also consistently share new and relevant fitness/health/wellness information and other useful tools that can be used as a resource in regards to nutrition, weight control, and other lifestyle issues

  • 8 session package - $220 (valid for 45 days)
  • 12 session package - $300 (valid for 90 days)

As your Personal Trainer/Health Coach, I will help you to find the time in your schedule and help you to keep your determination to stick with the program long enough to reach your goals. I will remind you why you are doing what you are doing. I will get into your life and help you move past obstacles that arise, and I will help you learn to turn off the negative self-talk while constantly reminding you of the rewards of making your new healthy life-style choices. I will keep you moving forward.
And finally, I will support you as your source for practical, step-by-step instructions for building health. While under the tutelage of a personal trainer, you don not have to design your own program of fitness, constantly wondering whether you are doing the right exercise in the right way. I will create a customized blueprint that will help you achieve your goals.

HEALTH COACHING

Looking for assistance in lifestyle change? Diets are temporary! You have to meet people where they are! It is unrealistic to expect people to make big changes overnight that stick. Have you found that making drastic changes at once are unsustainable and doesn’t work for you - long term?
I will help you implement small changes little by little, at a pace that’s comfortable for you so you can meet all your health goals. The focus is on changing your daily habits, becoming more mindful of those habits as well as what you are eating. You will develop the building blocks needed to sustain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
I understand that life happens, and I work with you and support you in every way so you can achieve your optimal wellness.
